What is organic/organic cotton?

Cotton (organic and non-organic), also known as organic cotton, is a natural fibre because it is obtained by spinning bale, the cotton balls that cover the seeds of the cotton plant, a herbaceous plant belonging to the Malvaceae family. Cotton in general is the most widely used textile fibre in the world: it covers more than half of the world's fibre requirements and is widely used in the production ofclothing, from jeans to underwear, but also for the production of an infinite number of textile articles such as towels, sheets, up to carpets and sofa covers.
